Dr. Jeffrey Day is a 1990 graduate of the Buffalo School of Dental medicine. Following graduation, he entered a general practice residency at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia. He continued to serve as a navy dentist for another five years before resigning his commission in 1996. Dr. Day and his family have lived in the area since 1993 and in August of 1996 opened his practice in the Lee Hill Professional Center. Dr. Day practiced in that location until January of 2007, when he moved his practice to its current location at Hilltop Plaza on the corner of Leavells and Courthouse roads. The move in January of 2007 was also a merging of practices. Dr. Day merged his practice with Dr. Peter Scelfo, a prominent dentist who has been practicing in the Spotsylvania area since 1985.
Jeff and his wife Tracy have 2 daughters, Chelsea and Lindsay and one son Andrew. The family enjoys soccer, field hockey, sailing, water skiing and swimming. In his free time, Dr. Day enjoys computer technology, golf and playing soccer. Since Dr. Day believes in helping others in our community, he donates his skills to several community dental programs such as the Moss Free Clinic, Fredericksburg Regional Head Start, Donated Dental Services program and the Association of Retarded Citizens state health program.
Through the years, Dr. Day has made a commitment to continuing his dental education. He has developed a philosophy of comprehensive dental care with the emphasis on information and service to the patient. Dr. Day believes by doing this, he will be up to date with information for his patient's care and will increase his dental knowledge as new products and procedures are developed. In his most recent pursuit of continuing education, Dr. Day has spent 3 years attending seminars and workshops at The Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education.
Dr. Day is a member of the following organizations:
American Dental Association
Academy of General Dentistry
Virginia Dental Association
Commonwealth Study Club
Rappahannock Valley Dental Society
Spear Faculty Club

Almost everyone who comes into our office has either met or seen Kristyn. Kristyn works both in the front and back areas of the office. She spends some of her time in the office assisting our hygienists. Other times you see her at the front desk.
We are very proud of Kristyn, not only for the wonderful energy she brings to the office every day, but recently she organized an athletic event that provided a wonderful community project, but also raised almost $3000 for the local food bank.
Congratulations Kristyn for doing yet another wonderful job for a great cause.
Tanya has been in the dental profession for over 10 years now. I am sure you will find, as we did, that her skill and knowledge are that of a seasoned veteran.
Tanya is a "local girl" who is the mother of 3 children and "step mother" to 1. In addition to the 4 children, she loves her English bulldog "Bessie".
Though most of her time is spent attending the children's activities, when she has spare time, Tanya enjoys reading novels and watching UFC cage fighting.
Lindy is one of the team of fine hygienists we have here in our office. For those who are unaware, a dental hygienist is a co-provider in the dental field who must complete a 2 or 4 year specialty program for hygienist at a college or university. After graduation from their dental hygiene program, they must pass a state board examination to obtain a license to practice dental hygiene in our state.
In addition to her skill, Lindy brings such wonderful energy to our back office. We often hear her laughing with each and every patient she encounters.
In her free time, Lindy enjoys sky diving and bungee jumping...not really. Lindy is most comfortable with her feet firmly on the ground. She enjoys hiking and spending time with her grandchild. Over the years she has accumulated an extensive collection of corn husk dolls.

Welcome back Jennifer!
